Fox beat not only every other cable news network, they beat every show on cable last week, with over 6 million viewers. In spite of being part of paid services, that puts them in the evening news’ territory. NBC and ABC still have more viewership, but for how long? As the network news declines, Fox may soon surpass even their competition on free airwaves, a remarkable achievement. This is bad news for legacy media networks, as their dominance is ending at the expense of their decline in credibility and viewers.
