The Syrian government crossed the line when they reportedly used chemical weapons on their own people. Trump responded in a way that commands respect. Trump used military force to punish the nation just as many other leaders had promised. The difference is that Trump followed through on his promise and bombed a Syrian airbase. This showed the world at large that messing with the United States and the rules that are put forward is a serious violation of our trust, a violation we will respond too.
