The left-wing National Priorities Project complemented the President with the following attack: "The president would cut funds for the major means preventing military conflict, the State Department, and foreign aid, by 41 percent, at the same time that he bulks up the Pentagon. Also among the hardest hit are energy and environmental programs which would receive a 36 percent cut, while housing and community programs would receive a 35 percent cut." The following 22 programs would be defunded if the Trump budget were enacted:
