Fmr Trump Adviser Could Help Prove Collusion?

Former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos thinks his testimony to Special Counsel Mueller could help prove collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. At least that is what he told ABC News in an interview Sunday.

According to The Daily Mail:

George Papadopoulos, the former foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign who was sentenced to two weeks in jail last week for lying to the FBI, said his testimony to special counsel Robert Mueller’s team could help prove collusion between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

‘All I can say is my testimony might have helped move something towards that,’ Papadopoulos told ABC’s ‘This Week’ on Sunday.

He went on to say he has no direct knowledge of Trump obstructing Mueller’s investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 contest.

‘I don’t think anybody should obstruct anything. And I have no opinion on – and I actually have no knowledge of the president is obstructing anything. That is just my opinion,’ he said.

Papadopoulos also stated that he met with the Mueller team 4 times to discuss his involvement with the campaign and his contacts with the Russians.

Papadopoulos also indicated that Attorney General Jeff Sessions lied to Congress stating that Sessions was excited about a possible Trump-Putin meeting, which is something he denied to Congress.
