ISIS Claims Responsibility for Las Vegas Attack

The New York Post is reporting that ISIS is claiming responsibility for the attack in Las Vegas that left 50 dead and over 400 injured:

Islamic State claims Las Vegas attack, says shooter converted to Islam months ago, but provides no evidence.

The alleged shooter, who killed himself, before a SWAT team could take him down, was 64-year old Stephen Craig Paddock of Mesquite, NV.

He was shooting concert-goers at a country music concert from his hotel room on the 32nd floor at the Mandalay Bay resort on the Las Vegas strip.

Once the police entered the room, they found that the shooter an arsenal of over 10 guns.

While ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, law enforcement continues to search for a person of interest named Mary Lou Danley. Intel suggests that she and the shooter resided together.

Update 12:39 PM Eastern

According to the Daily Beast, the FBI announced there were no discovered connections between the shooter and ISIS:
 

“We have determined to this point no connection with the international terrorist group,” said the FBI special agent in charge of the Las Vegas investigation. “We will continue to work with our partners to ensure that this is factually, thoroughly, and absolutely investigated to be able to bring comfort and peace back to this community.”
