Judge Brett Kavanaugh has made it out of the Judiciary Committee. The committee voted 11-10 along party lines to send Kavanaugh's nomination to the full Senate. There is one catch, however.
Senator Jeff Flake who was considered the swing vote only offered his support if an FBI investigation, not lasting longer than one week, would be conducted before Kavanaugh is voted on by the full Senate.
The GOP members of the committee apparently agreed to these demands and Flake voter in favor of Kavanaugh.
The FBI will now conduct an investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Judge Kavanaugh while Senators try to drum up support to confirm the nominee.
