As seen on Hannity Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) called out top Democrats for continuing to fight against funding President Trump's border wall, claiming they are "out of touch" with the American people on the issue.
Appearing on "Hannity" alongside fellow Republican Sen. John Cornyn, Cruz highlighted the murder of California police officer Ronil Singh by an illegal immigrant. Singh's brother joined Cruz, Cornyn, Trump and Border Patrol officials at a roundtable earlier on Thursday.
"They are both immigrants, but they came in the right way. They came legally [from Fiji], seeking the American dream. His brother wanted to be a cop, wanted to keep people safe and he lost his life to a criminal illegal alien," said Cruz.
Cruz said Democrats "try to cloak their support for open borders by saying it's compassionate," arguing that no one should want to see any teenage girls in the custody of human traffickers.
