The Anti-Trump Collusion That Mueller Missed

Why should Russians have all the fun? If we want to make hay out of foreigners breaking the law to influence the 2016 election, the Democrats have a collusion problem of their own: from Australia.

Thanks to the stellar reporting of James O’ Keefe’s Project Veritas, we have footage of Aussies, at the behest of their Labour Party doing campaign work and breaking the law by defacing Trump signs in 2016. Their conservative government is displeased because their little adventure was funded by the Australian taxpayers.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) allegedly did not directly expend campaign resources on the Aussies, who were deployed in multiple battleground states; but since the Labour Party paid for their airfare, allowances and for some, salaries, they made an illegal in-kind contribution to the Sanders campaign. That isn’t much different from the Russian trolls that posted for Trump and Hillary with the Internet Research Agency, with murky ties to the Russian government.

Maybe the Special Counsel should further expand his purview to investigate Australian collusion, given that he isn’t doing so well at identifying collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign. At least there is evidence of the Aussies committing a crime, which would be a welcome change of pace for the partisan hired guns that are conducting the Trump “investigation.”
