Trump Announces Meeting With Kim Is SET

President Trump has announced when and where he will meet North Korean President Kim Jong Un. The announcement comes after weeks of speculation.

According to The Hill:

President Trump announced Thursday his high-stakes summit meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will take place on June 12 in Singapore.

“The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th,” he tweeted. “We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!”

The announcement capped off weeks of negotiations over the date and location for the talks that began in early March, when the president said he would accept Kim’s invitation to meet.

This is a historic achievement for Trump, with his end goal being de-nuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.
