Trump Jr. Resisting Pressure to run for Senate in Wyoming

President Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. is reportedly resisting pressure from politicos to run for a soon to be open Senate seat in Wyoming.

One of the main people putting pressure on Trump Jr. is former Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

According to The Daily Mail:

Donald Trump Jr. has no interest in running for a soon-to-be-vacant U.S. Senate seat in Wyoming, according to four people in his inner circle, despite intense pressure from former presidential insider Steve Bannon and Republican fundraisers.

Mike Enzi, a 75-year-old senator in his fourth term, announced Saturday that he won’t seek re-election in 2020. Wyoming’s rock-solid conservative majority will make the open seat easy pickings for any well-connected Republican who is nominated to replace him.

‘I think he could win by forty points,’ a person familiar with Don Jr.’s thinking said Tuesday. ‘He has tremendous support out there, but he’s not doing it.’

A mixture of hard-right conservatives and political consultants have spent the past four days peppering people close to President Trump’s outspoken eldest son about his interest.

The report also indicated that the only political interest for Trump Jr. at the moment is helping his dad win re-election in 2020.
