Trump Tweets Out Hilarious Video

Ahead of the signing of the Farm Bill, President Trump tweeted out a video of him playing a character from the iconic show “Green Acres” during the Emmy awards.

According to The Daily Wire:

President Donald Trump tweeted a hilarious video on Thursday of him reenacting the “Green Acres” theme song during the 2005 Emmy Awards to hype the signing ceremony for the farm bill.

“Farm Bill signing in 15 minutes!” Trump tweeted along with a video clip of his performance with actress Megan Mullally.

The bill “contains a safety net for farmers, support for forestry, conservation programs, and supports land-grant universities,” KBTX-TV reported. “About eighty percent of the money in the bill funds the SNAP or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.”

“The bill, in my mind, is something that undergirds agriculture,” said Joe Outlaw, co-director of the Agriculture and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M. “It also helps people who don’t have enough food. But it undergirds agriculture, at the same time it’s undergirding the whole Ag economy. We have this discussion a lot about what does the farm bill do for producers? That when things go bad it steps in and makes up part of the difference, part of the loss.”

Trump injected some humor into the signing of an important piece of legislation. Washington seems to need more of this humor these days.
