Left-leaning news channel MSNBC is taking their anti-Trump hysteria to a new level: now, they’re accusing Donald Trump of planning to murder journalists.
During an interview with Nebraska Senator Deb Fischer, a Republican, Katy Tur compared Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin—and suggested that Trump could start systematically killing journalists.
Tur claimed Trump praised Putin, by saying “America does bad and terrible things, too, when Bill O’Reilly asked him if Vladimir Putin was a killer.”
“As we know, there’s, since 2000, been a couple dozen suspicious deaths of journalists in Russia who came out against the government there,” she added.
And then, Tur went in for the kill—actually suggesting that Donald Trump could actively start targeting journalists for death:
“Donald Trump has made no secret about going after journalists and his distaste for any news that doesn’t agree with him here. Do you find that this is a dangerous path he is heading down?”
Fischer, for her part, kept calm and refused to take the bait about President Trump—staying focused on Vladimir Putin, who Fischer called “a thug.”
In response to Trump complimenting Putin, Fischer explained it as Trump merely trying to establish a working relationship with the Russian president—and expressed her hope that Trump would have “very firm, very harsh, if need be, conversations with Putin to let him know that here in the United States we understand who he is.”
“We will see if they are convinced by that,” said Tur, ending the segment.
