President Donald Trump has finalized a deal with Lockheed Martin to purchase 90 F-35 fighter jets for the lowest price in the program’s history.  The $8.5 billion agreement will potentially save the American taxpayer billions of dollars.

President Trump warned the government contractor in December of 2016 that the program was “out of control.”

“Billions of dollars can and will be saved on military (and other) purchases after January 20th,” he said at the time.
