Deported Illegal Child Rapist Re-Arrested in Texas

U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested an illegal immigrant for entering the United States—and found that he’s a convicted child molester that had already been previously deported.

Michell Tapia Tizcareno, 26, was picked up by border agents while patrolling the Rio Grande River near Eagle Pass, Texas. During his routine processing, they discovered that Tapia Tizcareno is a registered sex offender.

Tapia Tizcareno spent three years in jail after being convicted of aggravated sexual battery in Virginia against a 13-year-old, and was then deported to his native Mexico.

Because Tapia Tizcareno tried to re-enter the United States, he faces additional charges of illegal re-entry after deportation.

“The men and women of the United States Border Patrol are committed to protecting and serving our citizens,” said Matthew Hudak, the Deputy Chief Patrol Agent of the Del Rio sector. “Our agents understand the types of threats that endanger our border and will work endlessly to keep citizens safe from harm.”

Del Rio Border Patrol Sector agents have already apprehended 12 previously-deported illegal immigrant sex offenders in 2017 alone.
