Kelli Ward, who’s a wife, mom, Physician, and State Senator according to her website, is currently the leading contender.

She challenged Senator John McCain in 2016, but fell short.

This time she’s back with a strong campaign infrastructure and has been receiving backing from many pro-Trump forces, including Trump’s former chief strategist Steve Bannon, Laura Ingraham and others. 

Recent polling showed Kelli Ward with a huge leg up on Jeff Flake, according to The Hill:

The survey also shows Flake trailing Republican primary opponent Kelli Ward in a head-to-head matchup 58-31 percent. He trails by more than 20 points among registered Republicans and unaffiliated voters and is behind in every region in the state. 

Now Kelli Ward is currently the only candidate in the race and wields strong support.
