An illegal immigrant was confronted by an off-duty police officer on a rural road due to his erratic driving. The illegal immigrant brandished a handgun and then proceeded to fire a shot. The son of the officer heroically talked the man and took a round to the ankle, the injury was as minor as a gunshot gets. The illegal immigrant named Santos Alfredo Paz-Ruiz was brought arrested and would plead guilty to being an illegal immigrant and being in the position of a firearm illegally. He will face close to 3 years in prison before immigration decides what to do about his immigration crime.
