With the death of the leader of ISIS many are asking who will take over the organization? It’s not clear as to who will take over if anyone does take over. ISIS has been in rapid decline for several years following the Trump administration’s targeted strikes and ongoing operations in the region, now that their leader is gone and the organization has lost a lot of territories some theorize that no one face of the organization will take over. The more likely outcome in the eyes of experts is that ISIS will shatter into subcells that will make few gains in the region.
