Criminal Complaint Filed Against Joe Biden

Presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden’s #MeToo scandal is heating up.

The former Vice President was recently accused of sexual assault by former staffer Tara Reade a few short weeks ago.

The alleged incident happened in 1993 when Reade was an employee of Biden’s Senate office. Reade claims Biden pushed her up against the wall and fondled her.

The media largely ignored the allegations which we documented (READ MORE ABOUT IT HERE).

However, Reade has now filed a criminal complaint with the Washington Metropolitan Police Department.

Reade tweeted to thank the few brave journalists who did report the story, in addition to giving thanks to Susan Sarandon, John Cusack and Rose McGowan who stood by her.

Reade notes that the crime is beyond the criminal statutory limits which would bar any prosecution of Joe Biden for the alleged crime.

The alleged crime can’t be prosecuted, but the complaint has finally drawn coverage from major news outlets like the New York Times, who reported on the incident on Sunday.

Reade says this isn’t the first time she spoke out about the incident. After the incident happened she says she complained to Biden’s executive assistant and two of his top aides while she was employed in Biden’s office.

According to the report from the New York Times, the staff didn’t take action and retaliated against her after she filed a written complaint with the Senate:

“[O]ffice staff took away most of her duties, including supervising the interns; assigned her a windowless office; and made the work environment uncomfortable for her.

An aide for Biden later told her to look for a new job as she was not a good fit for Biden’s office.

Three decades later, the Biden campaign categorically denies the allegations:

In response to Ms. Reade’s allegation, Kate Bedingfield, a deputy Biden campaign manager, said in a statement: “Vice President Biden has dedicated his public life to changing the culture and the laws around violence against women. He authored and fought for the passage and reauthorization of the landmark Violence Against Women Act. He firmly believes that women have a right to be heard — and heard respectfully. Such claims should also be diligently reviewed by an independent press. What is clear about this claim: It is untrue. This absolutely did not happen.”

Reade has also mentioned she’s received death threats after she spoke up about the incident.
