There are a lot of concerns with the objectives of ID2020, issues of security and abuse mainly. On the security front, many are concerned that these IDs may be stolen and abused in the same manner as social security numbers are stolen and abused every day around the world. Many are also expressing concern over governments abusing these IDs by tracking a user’s digital footprint the same way communist China tracks the online presence of its citizens.
