Over the weekend, MSN reported the White House was discussing removing Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar.
MSN noted:
The president has publicly indicated his own frustrations with Mr. Azar, tweeting earlier this month in response to reports that Mr. Trump didn’t act early enough to respond to coronavirus that Mr. Azar “told me nothing until later.”
According to another article:
Trump had privately expressed frustration over Azar’s lack of communication on key issues as the head of the White House coronavirus task force.
Azar has also been at odds with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma, an ally of Pence’s from Indiana who has been involved in the coronavirus task force briefings.
On Sunday President Trump denied the report that he was planning to replace:
“[Alex Azar] is going to be “fired” by me are Fake News. The Lamestream Media knows this, but they are desperate to create the perception of chaos & havoc in the minds of the public. They never even called to ask. Alex is doing an excellent job!”
