Stuart Evans was one of the few sensible people who pushed back on Peter Strozk and others’ attempts to get a FISA warrant. He tried his best to convince them that the evidence was lacking but ultimately he was beaten out and others in the FBI obtained what they wanted. It is also important to note that Evans did not have access to information related to the flaws in the dossier.
