One of the most egregious cases is Snopes and their fact-checker. After the story broke they immediately moved to debunk it without a second thought, there is little evidence to support the theory but what did Snopes have to say? This is a crazy conspiracy theory only a few people believe in. People were simply asking questions and looking at the glaring connection, these so-called journalists lack the ability to do basic research.
