Trump officially received the nomination to run for President in 2020. This was more of a formality for the President but with the way RINOs and anti-Trump forces have been moving at the RNC, it was always possible for some wacky shenanigans to go on. Standing next to Trump was Mike Pence, who will be his Vice President nominee once again. More from Fox News:

In an in-person roll call vote, Republicans officially renominated President Trump to represent their party on the ballot in the Nov. 3 presidential election, locking in the GOP ticket for an electoral battle against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris.

The states and territories were called in alphabetical order, except for the president’s home state Florida, the president’s home state. Nevada was the state that cast the votes to put Trump over the top. Florida cast its votes last, directly ahead of Trump’s remarks. Trump, who emerged to chants of “four more years” began with a warning to supporters along the lines of his recent disputed claims that mail-in ballots could lead to voter fraud.

“Bad things happened last time with the spying on our campaign … and this time they’re trying to do it with the whole Post Office scam … be very careful and watch it very carefully,” Trump said. “We have to win. This is the most important election in the history of our country.”

This is a significant milestone for the 2020 election, both mainstream parties have solidified their candidates and now we know with 100% certainty who will be on the ballot. Trump and Pence are down in the polls currently but they were also down in 2016 and turned it around come election day.
