Kamala Harris made an unforced error on Monday when she explained her plans under a “Harris administration.”

According to Fox News:

Kamala HarrisJoe Biden‘s running mate in the 2020 election, raised eyebrows on Monday evening after she accidentally touted economic plans under a “Harris administration.”

Speaking during a virtual roundtable with small business owners in Arizona, Harris vowed that they will have an ally in the White House with the campaign’s “Build Back Better” initiative.

However, the California senator appeared to briefly suggest that she was at the top of the Democratic ticket.

“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” she said. She quickly clarified, “The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners.”

Town Hall also reported on the slip:

If Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden were to win the 2020 election, everyone knows he would be commander in chief in name only. Kamala Harris and progressives in the Democratic Party would be running the show until she’s officially running the show, and on Monday, she appeared to accidentally admit that.

Speaking in Arizona during a virtual roundtable with business owners about the Build Back Better initiative, the California senator said, “A Harris administration together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States.”

“As part of our Build Back Better agenda, we will need to make sure you have a president in the White House who actually sees you, who understands your needs, who understands the dignity of your work, and who has your back,” Harris said, according to the Arizona Republic. “A Harris administration together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States…”

While she did go on to correct herself to say, “The Biden-Harris administration will provide access to $100 billion in low-interest loans and investments from minority business owners,” that didn’t stop many from joking that it was a Freudian slip.

Twitter responded:

It seems Joe Biden has learned that a presidential candidate shouldn’t pick a vice presidential candidate who wants to be president more than them.

It’s been obvious for some time that Kamala Harris expects to be the next president of the US! Her recent remarks have made it clear, slip or not, that is her goal! I suspect she’s well supported by all those who are aware of Joe Biden’s inability to actually be the Pres!
However, from my perspective, the best choice for president is Donald Trump and I’m certainly hoping that he wins the election come November!
