President Trump is never afraid to tell it like it is. In an interview with Fox Business’ host Maria Bartiromo, Trump discussed the sad state of New York saying the city is “like a ghost town” after being ravaged by the Coronavirus pandemic. The Big Apple has seen a major spike in violent crime, increased homelessness, and cleanliness due to its Democrat Mayor Bill De Blasio.
Later in the interview, the conversation shifted towards Trump’s son, and the President was asked if he might run for mayor in the next election. President Trump truthfully replied, “no, I hope not because he couldn’t win as a Republican he wouldn’t have a chance.”
According to Fox News:
“It’s all Democrat-run cities,” Trump continued. “The only way it’s going to come back is you’re going to have to find a young version of Rudy Giuliani. Otherwise, it’s not because they have all these lefties in New York running for office and they use their criminal system.”
Giuliani has often been credited for helping to make New York City safer in the mid-1990s, bringing it out of a down period that took place under Democratic leadership.
Despite claiming that a Giuliani-type mayor is needed, Trump does not expect to see one any time soon because he does not believe a Republican could get elected there now — not even his own son.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo has even recently criticized the current state of the city under the leadership of fellow Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio.
The New York governor has even threatened to bring in the National Guard to help restore New York City, a request de Blasio has repeatedly denied.
NYC would be very lucky to have Trump’s son as mayor to the city. He would bring down crime, give the people of the city peace of mind and get people who have fled to come back to the city.
Deblasio has been a complete nightmare and is a confirmed communist who support communists in South America. The governor is no better and is responsible for at least 5000 deaths when he took sick elderly people from hospitals and put them in nursing homes who had not previously suffered any positive tests. Cuomo did nothing less than create a HOLOCAUST for the elderly of NYC and beyond. Just look at the number of deaths and what he ordered and it’s clear that is exactly what happened.
Has Trump brought down the crime rate in the country?

No , Governors control crime in their states. The Federal Law Enforcement Agencies can only intervene at the request of the Governor. The same thing who holds true in disasters, the Governor of Louisiana refused the help of the Federal Government and out of state National Guard in the early 2000’s when New Orleans was destroyed by hurricane Katrina. Our close friend was a squadron commander who had his combat controllers and para-rescue men on a plane ready to deploy to open air operations at the destroyed airport and the para- rescue men to help recover victims who were stranded. It took days , not hours before the Governor would give permission for them to enter New Orleans. The runways at the airport were all covered with debris and they and volunteers got the first runway cleared and using hand held radios guided the first relief planes in, using the same technology they use in war zones to call in close air support. His pararescue guys were busy plucking people off rooftops, cutting down power line so rescue helicopters could get in to rescue people in residential areas and take them to the highway overpasses. They also provided medical aid. Governors are responsible for law and order in their state, President Trump and only
intervene to protect Federal buildings. He has offered assistance to all of the states who have had riots. Democrat mayors have consistently refused the help of the Federal Government.

I was born in NY, a borrow, and I used to love visiting, My Mother worked in Macy’s before she got married, that’s when Macy’s was only in NYC, so I have a great attachment and I hate to see what DeBlasio has done to it, Would love to go to Garmet Dist. again, let’s get rid of this plaque in next election
Amen!!!! I used to plan my birthday trip to NY City. My birthday is in December so the city was decorated and beautiful. The air was crisp and you felt such a feeling of hope and determination. So much to love and enjoy in that ONCE great city. Even before the pandemic the city had gone to hell. All the wonderful things that Guilliani did for the city are gone under this joke of a mayor and criminal governor. I am from the south from an area that depends on tourism for survival. I love the people of NY. I love the grit and determination. Please stand up and get rid of these two clowns and restore the city. It is not about politics. Or shouldn’t be. What NYC means to this country is way more important than politics. You deserve leadership that cares just as much for your city and state as you do. It hurts my soul to say this but I will not be back to a city I adore (just the bagels and Le Bernadine alone are worth fighting for) until there are some changes. God bless NYC and it’s people.
