Democrats say Barrett has”outside agenda”

Multiple Senate Democrats have made implications against Barrett alleging that she has an “outside agenda.” During questioning both Senator Durbin and Senator Feinstein alleged that Barrett has been pressured to rule on cases in ways that will benefit Republicans. Feinstein directly asking if Barrett plans to overturn Roe v. Wade on multiple occasions. Barrett repeatedly refused to “pre-commit” and said she has “no agenda” to give any indication of how she would rule on any future cases. “I do want to be forthright and answer every question so far as I can,” Barrett said, citing Justice Elena Kagan’s confirmation hearing. “She said that she was not going to grade precedent or give it a thumbs up or thumbs down.”
