Lifelong Democrat and Georgetown University law professor Jonathan Turley has lost respect in Joe Biden saying he is no longer the “straight-up” lawmaker he used to support. Turley was interviewed on Fox News’ “Hannity” and did not hold back on his opinion of the disappointing politician Biden has become.

“I had a lot of respect when he was in the Senate and I find this all rather strange because the Biden that many of us saw in the Senate was very popular because he would speak to you straight up, particularly when it came to constitutional matters,” Turley told Fox News’ “Hannity.”

“He had a Northstar that you could rely on. This is not the Joe Biden that many of us saw in the Senate,” Turley continued.

Turley expressed his frustration in the Democrat nominee’s refusal to give a clear answer on his stance on court-packing, calling the behavior “bizarre.” Biden has even gone so far as to claim American’s don’t deserve to know his opinion on the matter and said Americans will only know his stance after the election.

“Many people of both parties will not vote for someone who is even considering a court-packing plan,” Turley said. “To say that you’re not going to tell people until after the election is just rather bizarre.”

The constitutional scholar said our nation “has never needed the Supreme Court more” during these divisive times. He went to say the stabilizing effect of the Supreme Court can help the prevent things from “going really badly” for the nation.

Turley served as a witness in House impeachment hearings and argued that the decision to impeach President Trump was rushed and proceeded without ample evidence.
