Chris Coons

Amy Coney Barrett reminded Senator Coons, “I have my own mind” after he attempted to paint her as a younger version of Antonin Scalia. The Senator asked Barrett exactly how closely she plans to follow the judicial philosophy of Justice Scalia who dissented against ACA, a recurring topic throughout the week’s proceedings. Barrett was easily able to quash the insinuation by saying, “I assure you I have my own mind. Everything that he said is not necessarily what I would agree with or what I would do if I was Justice Barrett.”
