Florida voter registration
In 2008, Barack Obama won in Florida by 236,148 while Democrats held a secure 700,000 advantage over Republicans. Then again in 2012, Obama secured the state by only 74,309 votes as the Democrat advantage began to slip. In 2016, Trump was able to flip the Southern swing state and win by 112,991 votes despite the fact Democrats still maintained a 327,483 advantage over Republicans. Now, the Democrats advantage has sunk to “historic lows” with only 134,242 lead.
