New York’s 2nd Congressional District
In a race to fill the seat left by retiring Representative Peter King, the Republican state assemblyman Andrew Garbarino declared victory over Democrat Jackie Gordon. With nearly 84% of votes reported, Gordon ultimately conceded the race to Garbarino who will keep the Long Island seat in Republican control despite the push from Democrats to flip the seat.
Republican Andrew Garbarino: 56.4%
Democrat Jackie Gordon: 42.6%
