Janet Yellen

Biden has nominated Janet Yellen to serve as Secretary of the Treasury. If confirmed Yellen will be the first woman to lead the Treasury Department in U.S. history. Yellen previously served as the 15th chair of the Federal Reserve, also working as the body’s vice chair for four years. The nominee also worked with the Clinton administration as Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers.
