Jared Bernstein worked closely with Biden before as chief economist to the then-Vice President. Now, Biden has tapped Bernstein to serve as a member of the Council of Economic Advisers. During the Obama-Biden administration, Bernstein worked as Executive Director of the White House Task Force on the Middle Class and an economic adviser to President Obama. Under President Clinton, Bernstein worked as Deputy Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor.
