The Trump administration is pulling American diplomats out of its Embassay in Baghdad amidst rising tensions in the region.
The State Department and US official confirmed the move which is expected to be temporary.
The move comes as a lead up to the anniversary of the U.S. killing top Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

Covid Task Force Adviser Dr. Atlas Resigns
Dr. Scott Atlas announced his resignation as special adviser to President Trump’s Coronavirus Task Force after serving on the Special Government Employee team. In his resignation letter, Atlas writes that his recommendations always stemmed from the primary focus of protecting the working class and minimizing damage from the pandemic and praises the administration’s efforts to reopen schools.
Republicans Claim Another Seat in the House
Republican Mike Garcia is proud to represent California’s 25th district for another two years. On Monday, Democrat challenger Christy Smith conceded to Rep. Garcia after a hard-fought battle for the congressional seat in northern Los Angeles County.
Rep. Garcia, a former fighter pilot and proud Trump supporter, won the seat in a special election in 2019 after Democrat Katie Hill stepped down. Hill was cornered into resigning after she publicly admitted to an affair with a campaign worker.
