A Michigan man believes his support for the President may have caused his home to be targeted by criminals. On Saturday morning the man and his girlfriend were shocked when someone threw at least one explosive into their living room in St. Clair Shores causing serious damage to their home. The explosive caused thousands of dollars worth of damages by destroying drywall, shattering glass, and causing large cracks in the ceiling. Neighbors said the loud noise made them think a bomb had gone off.

Fox News reports:

“We came out and there was a big mess here,” the homeowner said. “Everything was smoking and I got on the phone and called 911 and they showed up pretty quick.”

Surveillance video of the incident showed a man running up to his house and throwing an explosive through a front window, according to the station. Another recording captured a man running out of a pick-up truck and throwing a second explosive.

When asked why someone would target his home, he suggested it was possibly due to his political beliefs.

“We’re thinking maybe because I’m a big Trump supporter,” the homeowner said, according to FOX 2. “I mean everyone has people that don’t like them … but not to the extent of trying to blow my house up.”

The homeowner wished to remain anonymous until suspects are apprehended by authorities and their motives are known, he’s even offering a $10,000 reward for information. St. Clair Shores is about 15 miles outside of deeply Democrat Detroit.
