Cambodia
Cambodia will receive $85.5 million from the U.S. Covid relief package. However, the country must “assert its sovereignty against interference by the People’s Republic of China” and “strengthen regional security and stability, particularly regarding territorial disputes in the South China Sea and the enforcement of international sanctions with respect to North Korea.”
$85 million to Cambodia. But it only gets its money if it "assert its sovereignty against interference by the People’s Republic of China." Why does the US need to pay other countries to assert their sovereignty? Plant seeds to create future excuses to engage further? 4/n pic.twitter.com/461O9fPVWG
