Killing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
After a years-long effort, President Trump defeated the ISIS caliphate in March 2019. Then in October, the President announced a U.S. raid that successfully killed ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. At the time, Baghdadi was the world’s most wanted terrorist and his elimination was a major blow to the terrorist group.
