White House has Nothing to say about AOC’s Claim Cruz Threatened her Life

Yesterday, there was a rare moment of unity between Republicans and Democrats when voices from both sides of the aisle condemned the trading platform Robinhood for its decision to block customers from trading GameStop shares. However, that all came crashing down when the “Squad’s” very own Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez couldn’t help but use the situation to verbally berate Republican rival, Ted Cruz.

On Twitter, AOC claimed that Cruz “tried to have her murdered” without offering any actual evidence. The sophomore congresswoman went on a tirade against the Texas senator after he agreed with her comments against Robinhood. Ocasio-Cortez continued to push the dangerous and false claim on social media without so much as a slap on the wrist and even outright refused to work with Cruz. Clearly, AOC is really making an effort to lean into the Democrat’s push for unity and healing. Throughout the whole exchange President Biden, who could have de-escalated the situation remained silent.

Fox News reports:

Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was referencing Cruz’s challenge to Arizona’s Electoral College votes earlier this month as Congress met to certify President Biden’s election win. Cruz’s challenge has been linked by many to the attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob that was fueled by the former president’s false claims that he’d won the presidential election.

Nevertheless, many on the right were upset by the broadside against Cruz, R-Texas, which came as President Biden has called for lowering the temperature of political discourse in the U.S.

The Biden White House has not publicly commented on the tweet from Ocasio-Cortez. White House spokespeople did not respond to a request for comment from Fox News on the tweet.

“You know, there’s a lot of partisan anger and rage on the Democratic side, right? And it’s not healthy,” Cruz said in response to the tweet. “For our country, it’s certainly not conducive of healing or unity. But everyone has to decide how they want to interact with others.”

AOC continued her stubborn stance refusing to offer any statement that agreed with Cruz. Clearly, AOC would rather sit alone instead of work with Republicans.
