Farming industry
Biden’s harsh eye on net-zero emissions has dramatically changed how farmers plant crops. Corporations and individuals that want to offset carbon emissions will pay farmers to do their part and start implementing practices for eco-friendly farming. In a Washington Post article, a farmer who has 10,000 acres admitted he got into cover crops purely because the state paid him. “We had no intent of doing it for climate,” he said. This policy is going to make farmers dependent on the government for a handout. Cattle ranchers are a target because American-born and -raised beef is being replaced by a commingled product from multiple countries that are marketed as an American product.
