Smartmatic Voting Systems named Fox News Corporation in its $2.7 billion defamation suit. Smartmatic claims that because Fox News hosted multiple guests who discussed allegations of voter fraud and multiple anchors covered stories related to the ongoing election process that the news organization intentionally defamed the voting company. Fox News fired back at the lawsuit calling it an attack on the First Amendment
