Trump is keeping his cards close to his vest regarding his future political plans. During an interview with Newsmax’s Mark Halperin following his CPAC speech, the former president said he “will do what’s right for our country” in regards to possible running for president again in 2024. However, Trump was careful to note he has not made any definite decisions yet.
“I’ve done a good job for this party,” he said. “We had the greatest economy in history and then we rebuilt it a second time and the foundations were so strong that no other country can even compete with us.”

Halperin also asked Trump if he believed anyone could beat him in the GOP primaries should he decide to pursue the presidential nomination. Trump referenced a series of polls that have overwhelmingly placed Trump as the front-runner for the nomination.
“I think based on the job performance, I’m not sure that anybody should be able to win other than us,” the former president added.
A series of polls have shown prominent Republicans like Ron de Santis, Ted Cruz, and Kristi Noem as possible Republican contenders however none have come close to surpassing Trump in the polls
