Today, former President Trump officially endorsed Tim Scott to represent South Carolina in the United States Senate.

According to an official statement from Trump’s Save America PAC:

“It is my great honor to give Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina my Complete and Total Endorsement. He is both an outstanding Senator and person who works tirelessly for the people of his great state, and the USA. Strong on the Military, Law Enforcement, loves our Vets, protects our Second Amendment and our Borders. Tim will continue to do an OUTSTANDING job for our country!”

At times Sen. Scott has been critical of Trump however the Republican is expected to face a fairly easy re-election campaign in the staunchly Republican state.

Senator Tim Scott was first appointed to the U.S. Senate in 2013 by former governor Nikki Haley.

This is the latest endorsement from the former president who has already offered his support to a number of Republicans like former White House aide Max Miller who’s running to unseat Anthony Gonzalez. Rep. Gonzalez voted to impeach Trump on insurrection charges during the February impeachment trial.
