Incarcerating Kids at the Border

On the campaign trail, Biden would often attack the Trump administration for separating children from their parents at the border and promised under this leadership that he would end the practice forever. However, the Biden administration reopened a camp for migrant children in Carrizo Springs, Texas, which was used most recently in 2019 by the Trump administration. Members of his own party, like “Squad” member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, blasted Biden for the decision.
