Sen. Kennedy Blasts Neera Tanden

During confirmation hearings of Biden’s first choice to head the Office of Management and Budget, Neera Tanden, Sen. Kennedy brought up some of her past incendiary remarks made about senators. The Louisiana Republican zeroed in past comments Tanden had made about Senator Bernie Sanders. During the exchange, Kennedy noted that Tanden had called Sanders every name except “ignorant slut.” Tanden ultimately withdrew her nomination for the position.
