Ron DeSantis is the odds-on favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 if Trump doesn’t run according to a number of polls. One poll conducted at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida had DeSantis in second place behind Trump with 21% of voters saying he would win the nomination. In another poll that asked voters who they would support if Trump does not run DeSantis was in the lead with 43% of the vote.
