Ron DeSantis is the odds-on favorite to win the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 if Trump doesn’t run according to a number of polls. One poll conducted at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida had DeSantis in second place behind Trump with 21% of voters saying he would win the nomination. In another poll that asked voters who they would support if Trump does not run DeSantis was in the lead with 43% of the vote.

Cruz is not a “natural born citizen”. MUST be born in the U.S. AND to parents (plural) who are themselves, citizens. NO man-made legislation can make someone a natural born citizen. Ted was born with dual U.S. and Canadian citizenship, having been born in Canada to a U.S. citizen mother and a Cuban father who didn’t become a naturalized U.S. citizen until 2005. Ted had dual citizenship until May 2014, when he renounced his Canadian citizenship. It is what you are born with that counts and not something that can be acquired retroactively, by giving up a citizenship you were born with. Natural: existing in or caused by nature; not made or caused by humankind. I learned this over 60 years ago. NO man-made law can change that. That applies to Ted Cruz, Tulsi Gabbard, Dan Crenshaw, Valerie Jarrett and anyone else who was born out of the U.S. to one or two citizen parents. They are “naturalized by congressional statute” citizens, not natural born citizens. “Citizen at/by birth” or “born a citizen” are not the same thing as a “natural born citizen.

Nikki Haley is also NOT a “natural born citizen” but for a different reason. She was born in the U.S., Bamberg, SC in 1972. Her parents, from India, moved here in 1969. It takes a minimum of 5 years legal residence to become eligible for naturalization and they had not lived here long enough to have become citizens, prior to Nikki’s birth. One MUST be born on U.S. soil to parents who are themselves, citizens. Only the president and vice president must be natural born citizens. All others may be any kind of citizen, whether natural born, native born (born here without reference to the citizenship of the parents) or naturalized.
Others who have this same impediment are Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal and yes, even Kamala Harris, our “current vp”. She was born in Oakland, CA in 1964 to a mother who came here in 1960 from India and her Jamaican father who came here in 1961. They were still foreign nationals when Kamala was born. NOT eligible, like Barack Obama. He could have been born in the White House and still would NOT be eligible, simply because his Kenyan, British subject father was not a U.S. citizen. He was just a foreign student attending college here on a student visa.
Birth on U.S soil + U.S. citizen father + U.S. citizen mother = natural born citizen. All three elements must be of the U.S. with no other citizenship involved.

My opinion is she got it exactly correct. The founding fathers used a book ‘Laws of Nations’ by Vitell when they were drafting the constitution. It defines a ‘Natural Born Citizen’ as the child of Citizen Parents. Ted Cruz is also NOT eligible – his father was a Cuban citizen.

At the time this was written into the Constitution the qualifier was British citizenship, not American, because the US didn’t officially exist until AFTER the Constitution was ratified. Since Hamilton did not know who his father was, he could not prove his father was British, therefore he could not become president. Barack Obama’s father was not an American citizen which disqualifies him every bit as much as it did to Hamilton. Harris’ parents were not American citizens, nor were Cruz’ or Haley’s. Harris’ family owned slaves after our civil war, which should be something for the “woke” crowd to think about.

This means we could see thousands of pieces of evidence and hear hundreds of witnesses testify as to how the election was stolen. Forensics on the Dominion voting machine in i believe AZ came back the machine was only 57 % accurate.. You will never get accurate stats on a machine like that that uses foreign servers and has algorithms that can swap votes from one candidate to the other candidate. The “natural born citizen” clause was put in there by Jefferson and other democrats to stop just one man, Alexander Hamilton, from ever becoming president of the US. Jefferson was so afraid of Hamilton that he figured out a way to keep him out, and that was enshrined in the constitution, which is why, later, it was made that no law could be made to affect just one person. Hamilton was born on the island of Nevis, and he never knew who his father was. He came to the Us colonies at 12 to work in an accounting house. He was the only one of the founding fathers to not be, at least a 3rd generation American colonist This was never an issue until 2008 with the election of a man whose father was not a US citizen, which is direct contravention of the US Constitution. Cruz is not eligible, nor is Harris. If the democrats wish to complain or try to change this, they need to remember it was democrats who pushed this into the Constitution
