Immediately after Tim Scott concluded his speech “Uncle Tim” began trending on Twitter. During his speech Sen. Scott referenced the negative and racially charged terms he’s often called by so-called progressives, “I get called ‘Uncle Tom’ and the N-word by progressives, by liberals.”
