Arizona Senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema, who are both Democrats have broken with President Joe Biden and openly criticized his handling of the border crisis.
The Senators were not satisfied with the amount of attention paid to the ongoing border crisis during President Biden’s primetime speech to Congress.
According to Fox News:
In a statement released Wednesday following Biden’s address to Congress, Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona lamented the lack of attention that Biden paid to the issue during his primetime speech.
“While I share President Biden’s urgency in fixing our broken immigration system, what I didn’t hear tonight was a plan to address the immediate crisis at the border, and I will continue holding this administration accountable to deliver the resources and staffing necessary for a humane, orderly process as we work to improve border security, support local economies, and fix our immigration system,” Kelly said.
