Ohio Representative Anthony Gonzalez, who also voted to impeach former President Trump, noted his support for Liz Cheney. In a recent interview with The Hill, Gonzalez said Cheney is being pushed out of her leadership role because she refuses to “lie” to the American people. “Liz isn’t going to lie to people. Liz is going to say what she believes. She’s going to stand on principle. And if that’s going to be distracting for folks, she’s not the best fit. I wish that weren’t the case,” said Gonzalez.
