South Carolina Rep. Ralph Norman is co-sponsoring the FIRED Act. If passed the bill would impose a 12-year retroactive limit on the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Since Dr. Fauci has held the position since 1984 he would be forced from the role.
