Dem Turned Republican Announces Run For Nevada Governor

Former Democrat turned Republican and current Mayor of North Las Vegas John Lee has announced his campaign for governor of Nevada. Lee, once a registered Democrat switched over to the GOP in April after noting how Democrats have become the party of “card-carrying socialists.”

The Hill reports:

Lee also took on the current governor of Nevada, Democrat Steve Sisolak, claiming that he “strangled our economy and freedom,” adding that Democrats are “after our speech, guns and kids.”

In the announcement video, Lee said he decided to switch his political affiliation because of these issues he raised regarding the Democratic Party.

“So, like Reagan and Trump, I switched parties. I’ve always made my own path,” Lee said.

Lee, who also owns and operates a plumbing business, announced that he was switching political parties during an appearance on “Fox & Friends” in April. The mayor said the Democratic Party was no longer “the party that I grew up with.”

I practically worshipped JFK and felt devastated when he was killed. Never liked or trusted his brothers Even with that attitude and being fairly “young”, I questioned the socialist flavor of the kennedy administration. LBJ finished opening my eyes, then Peanut Carter fully exposed the nature of the demo party. Why is it this joker just realized the marxist socialization of his party just a few months ago???

Good for him. I will contribute to his campaign. Hopefully many other democratic leaders will follow his path. Socialism is a death knoll for a country.

You make as much sense as a female friend who told me she regretted – for four years – voting for Trump because she did not like him. She then revealed her stupidity by saying she proudly – as a life-long GOPer – voted for Biden last November because she “LIKED” him better.

That happened a lot. You don’t have to like his personality but you can’t disagree this country was on a better path. People who voted for Biden, when he had no hidden secrets of his socialistic plans were not very smart. Hope they have opened their eyes to what is going on. this country is changing fast and Americans/Liberals better open their eyes before we totally loose this country

WILL JOHN LEE — YO HAVE A JOB ON YOUR HANDS FOR SURE . PEOPLE ARE GOING TO QUESTION YOU FOR SURE IF YOU ARE TRUE RED. WITH WHAT WE ARE GOING THROUGH RIGHT NOW WITH THE DEM COMMUNIST – WE ARE QUESTIONING EVERYTHING AND WANTING THE GOOD OLD AMERICAN STANDARDS NOT WHAT WE HAVE TODAY.- THEY ARE ROTTEN TO THE CORE OF CORRUPTION.

I HOPE he means what he says. We already have too many Rhino Republicans and I hope John Lee does exactly what I did and truly change parties for the right reason, OUR COUNTRY is at stake. If he is legit I will stand with him and donate but how are we ever going to know until he gets into office if elected. I don’t think he would go to those extremes especially being a business owner. He has probably seen the worst having a business then the normal Democrat who just wants attention.

It’s about time they stop drinking the kool aid! I say be your own thinker and only ask yourself but you are your own best friend! The choice is what is best for your family and others! Socialism for us is the worst choice ever! Illegals are the worst choice ever. Closing the pipeline is the worst choice ever. Biden is listening to Shadow Obama and Shadow Susan who hate White people! Shame on them for spreading hate! They devided this country, two sick o’s along with the sick hateful wife! In my book that’s treason! What good have they ever done? They take and never give back! It’s always about them, who are selfish, envious nobodies!

You can’t trust politicians especially the anti-American democrats, rhinos and their tools for hate and division of America the bought out biased medias propaganda LIES and now their fraudulent means of all elections! How do you think they got into position in the first place , lied about who and what they are and seeping into collage campus to indoctrinate young minds to hate America and take advantages of it! The 60’s anything goes attitudes The hippie, dippie anything goes attitudes of the 60’s was the start of America’s decline and it is so unfortunate! Until Americans really get tired of it , it will continue the corruption of corrupt politicians getting rich all while screwing America taxpayers over, especially also dying in useless wars for politicians profits!

That is not always true. I grew up a democrat and that party has changed so much. I did not vote in years because of the direction they were headed and then decided to change parties and I am a true Republican now because I love this country.

What a refreshing statement. I did the same thing in 2016 as I had not voted in years due to the way the democratic party was headed. I grew up a democrat and the way it is now is NOT the way it was then. Democrats have become power and money hungry and their socialistic ideology isn’t going to work. It’s been proven over and over!
